Lower Back is the most important muscle for a software engineer
Sitting down for long period of times weakens the lower back muscles. Weak back muscles lead to all sort of complications that will make you feel weaker in general. If picking up something from the ground is troublesome to you, If you are adapting the way you walk to cope with the pain, then it is time to take care of those important lower back muscles.
With a strong lower back, your posture will automatically improve, your sleep will be improved and you will be able to sit down for more time without discomfort.
The solution that worked best for me was to do 3 exercises:
- Deadlifts
- Squats
- Military Press
I have felt the improvements right away after leaving the gym. Results become better the longer I go to the gym.
Please dont lift with your ego, if you herniated your spine you would be in much worse state than when you started. If you hurt your shoulders they take forever to heal. So use common sense and warm up properly before your exercise
